Muslim Ottoman empire
From 1384 until the end of the 15th century, the Ottoman empire conquered a large part of the Balkans (including the one which is equivalent to contemporary Bosnia & Herzegovina) and deeply implemented islam in the region. As a consequence, it’s nowadays the main religion in the country, which comprise 3,867,055 inhabitants (July 2015 est.).
The Constitution, coming from the Dayton Agreement, explicitely mention 3 "constituent nations" : Bosniak (replaced the ethnic term Muslim in 2013), Serb and Croat.
